Never wear a bra that contrasts sharply with the sheer area—white bra under nude mesh is immediately visible and reads as a mistake.

Once you've selected a bra, put on the dress and move around. Raise your arms, bend, sit, and dance a little. The bra should not shift, gap, or create visible lines. Check yourself from every angle in a full-length mirror, including your back and sides. If anything feels unstable or looks wrong, you still have time to swap the bra or add fashion tape, safety pins, or dress tape to secure it.

The band is too loose. Try sizing down in the band (go from a 34 to a 32, for example) and up in the cup to maintain your cup volume. You can also add fashion tape or a bra grip (a silicone product that adheres to the bra's interior band) to increase friction.
Can I wear a regular bra under a sheer neckline?
Only if it matches your skin tone exactly or if the dress is designed to show the bra intentionally. A contrasting bra under sheer fabric reads as unfinished. If you don't have a matching bra, consider an adhesive option or a dress with built-in support.
Is it okay to go braless under an evening dress?
